Trauma lives in our body and impacts our mind. This workshop will identify the impact of trauma on mental and physical health and demonstrate how yoga and therapeutic writing can help create new neural pathways in the brain. Participants will also learn about what trauma sensitive
 yoga and writing is.

Objectives

  1. Name the three qualities of therapeutic writing and trauma sensitive yoga
  2. Discuss and practice how to use therapeutic writing and yoga for trauma survivors
  3. Identify how writing and yoga impact the neural pathways in our brain
  4. Discuss and Practice at least four techniques of therapeutic writing to assist in managing trauma
