What is the Somatic Sampler?
An ND-friendly, immersive weekend retreat at the Himalayan Institute in the Poconos. You'll experience somatic modalities in your own body through 60 to 90 minute experiential sessions, connect with likeminded therapists, and discover your next career chapter.
I'm building something I wish existed.
When I was figuring out my next career chapter, I wished there was a way to explore different somatic and holistic modalities without the pressure of committing to a full training right away.
The options felt overwhelming:
EMDR, IFS, somatic experiencing, yoga therapy, brainspotting, each with its own training path, cost, and time commitment. And they all sounded like they could be a potential path for me.

Included:
- 11 Deep-Dive Workshops
- 75–90 minute experiential sessions with each speaker
- Experience every modality in your own body, not just a lecture
- 5 Breakout Sessions: Choose your own adventure and pick from 5 concurrent breakout sessions (60 min) led by specialized practitioners
- A sacred container for deep learning
- CE Credits Up to 20 CE credits (ASWB and NBCC approval for Social Workers and Counselors and PA and PA State Board of Psychology)
- Limited to 70 participants
NOT Included:
- Travel to the Himalayan Institute
- Room & Board (begins at $387 for a shared dorm room and all meals for Thursday lunch through Sunday lunch and includes Ashram Amenities: Access to the ashram grounds, meditation spaces, and community areas)

CE Credit & Provider Information
CEs:
20 CEs In order to receive CEs you must sign in and out of each session and complete each CE evaluation within 1 week in order to receive your CEs. Please register with the name you would like on your certificate of completion. As well as the email where you would like it sent.
ASWB ACE Provider Statement:
“Wanderhome Retreats, 2794, is approved as an ACE provider to offer social work continuing education by the Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB) Approved Continuing Education (ACE) program. Regulatory boards are the final authority on courses accepted for continuing education credit. ACE provider approval period: [6/26/26-6/26/27]. Social workers participating in this conference will receive up to 20 clinical continuing education credits.”
NBCC CE Provider Statement:
"The Chronic Illness Therapist and Wanderhome Retreats are cosponsors of this program. This cosponsorship has been approved by NBCC. The Chronic Illness Therapist is an NBCC Approved Continuing Education Provider ACEP No. 7980. The ACEP solely is responsible for this program including the awarding of 20 NBCC credit."
Pennsylvania State Board of Psychology Provider Statement:
Phoenix Center for Experiential Trauma Therapy (Lic. #004115) is approved by the Pennsylvania State Board of Social Workers, Marriage and Family Therapists and Professional Counselors to offer continuing education for social workers, marriage and family therapists and professional counselors. The Phoenix Center for Experiential Trauma Therapy (Lic. # PSY000215) is approved by the Pennsylvania State Board of Psychology to offer continuing education for psychologists. Phoenix Center for Experiential Trauma Therapy maintains responsibility for the program.

Financial Support and ScholarshipsA small number of full and partial scholarships are available for therapists for whom cost is a barrier. Scholarships cover summit registration only and do not include room and board, travel, or the virtual panel add-on. Spots are limited.
